Where I've been....

When through the woods,

and forest glades I wander,

And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees.

When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur

And see the brook, and feel the gentle breeze.

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,

How great Thou art, How great Thou art!

I'll be here through Tuesday (look for a guest blogger for Ruby Tuesdays). Wish you were here...I'll try to soak in enough of God's beauty and inspiration to share when I get back.

My favourite hymn. As a teenager I was having lunch in the revolving restaurant in Toronto, Ontario's landmark, the CN Tower. My Dad was a 'Gideon' and we were there as a part of a conference. We stood, looking over creation from such tremendous height and sang this hymn. From that day on it has held special meaning.

Today I rejoice in how great Thou art,
Joy

Thanks for the beautiful pictorial version of "How Great Thou Art." Since the English version of the hymn was first introduced by Bev Shea at Billy Graham's Toronto Crusade in 1955, it has remained a "Top 10" favourite hymn.
